This bulb is my Amaryllis baby! Linda gave it to me! I get to raise it to be a beautiful flower in eight weeks.
Like hers.
Awww. Isn't is precious. The flowers are short-lived but I get to give it a two week break and start raising a flower from the same bulb all over again.I will probably show you pictures of my baby flower as it grows.

And I shovelled the driveway and sidewalk for the first time ever - in my life! Somehow there has always been someone more on top of it, but Linda said I could help with that, and I got home before her today, so I shovelled. It was different than I imagined. Somehow I didn't expect the snow to fall out from the sides of the shovel. Vacuuming and sweeping and even mowing the lawn doesn't have that happen...I like it.
Yes Shoveling can be fun and healthy, in moderation. Shovel often and it will be fun, let it build up and you will be SORE-y.
Where did Linda get the Amaryllis? My mother sells them to raise money for The Huntington Society. They symbolizing like in bleak circumstances. Life is still beautiful even when it hurts to live it.
The first Amaryllis I ever saw was at your house. They remind me of your Mother. They are so strong and beautiful.
