I remember that story from a Hallmark card. Loved it. These are my first high-heels. I bought them in a Reverse-Middle-Age Crisis where for the too many-eth time in a row a client commented on how much younger I seemed than my age. What I need is sophistication I decided and off I went to Value Village for grown-up clothes. I tried on these high-heels and was transported to adult world instantly. I wear them around the house for practice. The muscles in my legs are confused and sore, but they'll learn! Here's something I read in my textbook - apparently a law made by the English Parliament in the 1700's, "All women of whatever age, rank, profession or degree,...that shall from and after this act impose upon, seduce or betray into matrimony any of His majesty's subjects by the use of ...high-heeled shoes...shall incur the penalty of the law now in force against witchcraft and like misdemeanors, and that the marriage, upon conviction, shall stand null and void." (I felt there was a hidden power in these shoes.) Watch out! I'm wearing high heels!
Whoa, Julie, I don't know if you should be trapesing around in something so powerful. It seems kind of dangerous like stuffing a loaded gun into your belt, like they do in old western movies. You might end up shooting yourself in the foot. I don't own any hight heals as of yet, but I do love them and I hope to own quite a few soon. I too will wear them everywhere and will try not to cry too hard if I ever get shot in the foot and try not to seduce, betray, or impose too much upon men, while wearing them. Though it will be rather hard since I do it now without wearing them.
Awesome! You know, you are the one I want to emulate when it comes to wearing high heels. The first time I wanted them was this Spring when you wore your ballroom dancing sparkly pink strappy heels with blue jeans to dance practice in Taber. Remember?
Aww, Dawn, I missed you! Merry Christmas as well! We are all in Whitecourt tonight. And I mean all. Charles, Mom and Dad... all this sisters. Yes, it has been rather merry. Thanks for the well wishes!
