This Morning's News

I'm not bragging - I'm sharing the loveliness with you. Even though you are not here with me to enjoy this, you can almost pretend, from looking at the picture that you are, I think. I wish you were. Edmonton is so beautiful and green. It looks like I'm going to be here for two more four month sections of time. I think I'll be able to do that. I'll just move rooms with my roommates every time I need to pack up and go. Today I'm going to Marvel College to get my acceptance letter for school in September so I can show it to the people who want to pay for school. I mean, I don't and they do so why not let them? I'm all about win-win.
It's raining here this morning. Aren't those plants pretty? I've never seen any real ones like them before now.
There aren't words for how much I love these lilies. They are what I want to be when I grow up. So peaceful and giving to others - the way their petals uncurl towards us showing us their loveliness. Without expecting anything in return. Just happy knowing they've made the world a little better. And not needing to rush around. You smile, but some flowers do work very hard to be everywhere at once - like dandelions. I hope that taking this spa therapy course will help me become more like the calm still lily.

Oh Congratulations Julie!!! I am so excited for you! That is the best news I've heard all day today (and I've heard some very good things today!) You will be living in Edmonton for more than just the summer! Oh and by the way, those lillies are my absolute favorite flowers. Jon always gets me those lilies when he buys me flowers because I love them so much. You're right, the way that they open up their arms to welcome you in, I love it! I am so proud of you right now. Good for you Julie, doing something that you will love!

Thanks girls! Marvel gave me the acceptance letter today after I met with them, and the place is really the closest thing to heaven I know. (With its relaxing music, dim lights, candles, gorgeous walls, sweet people) - but I am unaccustomed to this much commitment. I took University 4 months at a time. I had a huge change up every six weeks on my mission. Actually the Esthetics program has a change - a new focus every six weeks - so it does seem like Julie World. I feel like my life will never be the same. I will be an Esthetician. I've never carried a label other than daughter and sister before. Even on the mission (Sister Layton.) Whew - so thanks for your encouragement!
