Fire and ice

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,

Some say in ice.

From what I've tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

To say that for destruction ice

Is also great

And would suffice.

For me I would see the world not end but begin again. Fire to purify and refine and ice to soothing and cleanse. Done with hope to begin again and see an end without an end. Adam fell that we might have joy not sin. Pain to heal, to fall so we can stand tall again.

Fire and Ice share one thing in common, they enable life even as they might take it. Fire to warm the cold night and Ice to cool the hot day. Fire to cook out meals and Ice to quench our thirst. Yet to much of each and death is ours instead.

I watch the wave by the see as the fire dances before me and I feel at peace.
