Love

Love bade me welcome: yet my soul drew back, guilty of dust and sin. But quick-ey'd Love, observing me grow slack from my first entrance in, drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning if I lack'd anything.
"A guest", I answer'd, "worthy to be here:"

Love said, "You shall be he".
"I, the unkind, ungrateful?! Ah, my dear, ... I cannot look on thee."
Love took my hand, and smiling did reply, " Who made the eyes but I?"
"Truth Lord, but I have marr'd them: let my shame go where it doth deserve!

"And know you not", says Love," who bore the blame? My dear, then I will serve."
"You must sit down", says Love, "and taste my meat."

So I did sit and eat. George Herbert

We cannot mock the atonement by denying that God's power is stronger than our weakness. You know what else? This reminds me of a sonnet I wrote last winter about how I run away from relationships sometimes. I will share the last part with you.
"It’s taking time, I’m damaged yet,
I often fear and sometimes run.
Praise! Love is there when I forget.
Love holds me tight when I’m undone.
It’s Love that tells me there’s no threat
Because I’m His. And Love has won. "

Hooray for Love Julie! I love you

P.S. Right now I am writing a 10 page paper about you and a theory or a "new idea" that you came up with. You are fabulous.

YOU are fabulous! It takes one to know one! Love does win, huh. I've been feasting on love at the temple. God's loving words to me, the loving people who work there, the love that I am growing inside for myself. My favorite part of being close to the temple is that I've made friends with the cafeteria people and they let me wash dishes for free! I sit still and be good and then I get out my hyperactive energy in the dish pit, then I can sit still and be good again. That feels like God's love to provide dishes for me to wash. It's so fun!
