So I went shopping on Saturday for Snow Apparel and I found the cutest red jacket! Its got ruffles and buttons to excess. When you see it I know you will love it and want to borrow it and I will totally let you. (Cute clothes are made to be shared.)
Oh, and the Snow Outfit I got I love. I got this silver puffy jacket and puffy silver boots - so cute! And then I got this cute pinky-purple neck warmer and scarf. I wish it would snow!
I wear the scarf and jacket everywhere. The red jacket and purple scarf remind me of something...
Warning
by Jenny Joseph
When I am an old woman I shall wear purpleWith a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

First off Julie, I picked up the package from you today. Thank you so much. I love the clothes and I especially love the card. Thank you so much, your kind words brightened my day. And I must also tell you that I have an Aunt who is part of the "Red Hat Club," which is based on that poem that you shared with us. I love it. Also, are you wearing the red jacket in the picture that you posted? Jon also wanted me to tell you that your hair is beautiful. You are looking amazing. And I love that you have your own business cards already. I'm going to be saving mine, that way if I need to be beautiful like you, I know you are just a phone call away. I love you Jewels!
Love you too Sharon! You brightened my day back! Yeah, I'm wearing the red jacket in the picture and like I said, my closet is your closet. I know some of the clothes I sent you are way pink and shiny...but on a grey day you can pull them out and laugh when you think about wearing them for real. Sometimes you need a laugh, and I wasn't using them. I am only allowed to wear black and white right now, at school and to an extent everywhere else too. I try to get around it by wearing fluffy, floaty, frilly black and white things. My teachers comment on the impracticality of my clothes and the girls just stare - curiously. That red jacket makes me feel so good. I'm so excited to share it with you later on and see if you love it too!
Oh I'm not laughing at your clothes Julie, in fact last night was Jon and my anniversary. Maren babysat so we could go on a date, and on that date I wore your pink shirt with the beads on it and the matching bracelet. It was wonderful to dress up in something new to me and I think I looked pretty good in it so thank you Julie. I am excited to see your red jacket too!
Oh I'm so glad! I bet you looked lovely! I'm glad you chose that one. I loved it when I saw it and I bought it, but I don't think I've ever worn it. I put it on and end up choosing something else all the time. But I love looking at it. I'm so glad you bonded with it. So glad! Yes, and I think red is a good color to have because it works for Remembrance Day, Christmas, Valentines Day and Canada Day. Its the kind of jacket I would like to wear on all those days too. You know those clothes that you love so much you want to wear them every day because they make you feel so good? I'm so glad we found each other. Someone had given it to the Salvation Army and it is still a hot item. Maybe it was a present to someone and it didn't fit them. Or maybe they wore it once and something happened and they never want to remember it again so they had to get rid of it. However it was, we were meant for each other and we are so happy together. I totally want to share it with you too.
Julie! Your hair is getting so loooong! I love it an I will try to follow your exsmple and not cut my hair for a long time too. I sure hope you can visit tomorrow!
I love that poem... it's so funny! and so true, too. The older you get, the less you care. :)
Not true, not true, nothing you say is boring for you speak your mind and you mind is far form uneventful.
I liked to poem too, it reminded me that may people have asked if I was ever a child and did childish things, when I say I assume I did they don't believe me. I do not remember being a kid so I guess I need a refresher course.
Life is a lot more fun when you look at it through a child's eyes.
When I was young hours past like days and a year took forever to pass. Now days pass in hours and a year is gone by before I started in it. If only I had the time to wast on youthful days, more precious than a child can know until they are child no more. What I would give now to make time pass that slow. You can live a lifetime in one moment or in a moment let it pass you by.
Yet I can not go back but must move forward in its flow. So I will live out today and then tomorrow making each last as long as I can told on until they too slip to memory and are forgotten in layers of time. Forgotten in the passing of time, yes, but lived to remember.
Oh I love Kevin! What brilliance. What poetry. He's the only guy I've proposed to. He always takes it in stride, "No, do you want to play cards instead?" And I always do and realize that that was a much better plan. And we have a lot of fun. Now I just keep my thoughts to myself.
Like right now, even though I want to propose to him, I'm not going to. But you can see why I would!
