Hi!

Surprised?! I am too! Construction in my life finished earlier than schedualed. Isn't that nice when that happens. I don't know what more to say. (The new me is much more reserved.) I'm really actually more interested in you. What are your top five highlights of the summer?

Oh Julie I am so excited that you are writing on your blog again!! It makes my life feel more complete, like I have a better connection with you. I love reading your comments. My top 5 favorite things of summer?
1 Emma is now potty trained
2 Warm weather
3 Playing outside in the water
4 Playing at the park with my kids
5 Reunions
... but not necessarily in that order. If I could add a number 6 I would have to say icecream treats and Boster Juice smoothies mmmm.

Things I do during the summer, or so far this year my favourite things? Well I'll make a combined list.
1- going tubing on Saturday
2- going to Big valley Jamboree and feeling 'worldly' in a mormon sense.
3-ice cream trucks in the distant, especially when it's ironically Sunday
4-baseball games
5-Beach Volleyball each thursday
6-walking around in a t-shirt after 10pm
7-summer love or REALLY good dates

Oops I went over. I can't help it, I LOVE summer!

Me? I bought a live lobster and played with it and threw it in a pot of boiling water and then ate it. I have pictures. Maybe I'll do a blog about it later. Four more things, well, I like that people are more in the playing mood and so I've been having different friends over and we've cooked. Oh, I went on a great motorbike ride! I guess the sun and warmth. I hope I learn how to survive without them. Winters coming in a couple of weeks I hear. I barely survived how cold it was in May. I've been asking people how they stay warm and price checking down-filled comforters. Well, I will be rooming with my sister so hopefully body heat will make it so I can sleep at night. I honestly couldn't relax and fall asleep until the weather warmed up. It was exhausting my first week here. I finally went back home and came back when the flowers did. I did a membership to the community rec center and it has a hot tub...warm tub really, but it may save my life.

Which sister are you going to be roomies with? I didn't know that someone was moving to Edmonton! That is awesome!! The more the merrier I say! And Julie, winter better not be coming in a couple of weeks. That is awful. I am definately not ready for that! But that rec center idea is a really good idea. Even a warm tub. Jon bought me a foot bath so I like to warm my feet in that when they are cold. And I suggest lots and lots of sweaters, blankets, touqes are a must, mitts and a skarf, long johns (several pairs), snow pants, warm foot wear and slippers. You may need to sleep in all of those at first, but hopefully you will climatize. There is a lady in our branch from Zimbabwe and she wears a touque in the house right now in all of this heat. She will definately be in shock when winter comes!

Gloria, and maybe Eliza and maybe Virginia. And Maren would be more than welcome. Growing up we had this huge bed that we all slept in. All the sisters I mean. I think that is how we will survive the winter, probably also with the winter gear you suggest! I'm glad winter isn't as close as all that. I like light and warmth a lot.
