Yesterday evening my friends and I went to the Edmonton temple and when we were walking out the air was warm and wet and the sky had a thick grey comforter of clouds. We were feeling warm and good, and our hair was dripping more water than fell from the sky. We came home and listened to music and shared good food, talking only slightly as we watched the rain dribble over the chairs and table outside in the growing dark. This morning was just as wet and the traffic outside seems to move more relaxed in this slow rain. I think the drivers are all in recalling happy times. Do you love this kind of rainy day?

Every drop of rain makes me wonder.I wonder if sometimes these drops can represent tears own behalf our own problems. On the other hand, each drop can be seen as a blessing. How the Nature of God is real. The grass is greener, the birds are singing, everythings looks clean and then came a raibow. It is beautiful to comtemplate the beauty of the earth. It was indeed an awesomeday Julianne. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. It was a peaceful feeling. Seriously life can fun for those who chose to see it that way, no matter what our challenges are. As long as we remember that we are not alone and we are following a safe and secure footstep you know who i am talking about.
Well darling, hope things are well on your side. You are sooo amazing, i hope someday whoever you will marry will realize how bless and lucky he is.
Continue to smile and inspire others around you.
Love,
xoxo
Oh, Julie... If I weren't in England and if it hadn't been raining and gray for a solid year, up until about 3 weeks ago, I would totally agree with you! When I'm getting enough sunshine and the rest of the weather is normal seasons, I love rainy days! But when you live in a country where they have one season almost all year round (RAIN), well... I'll leave it to your imagination!
Yeah, how do you handle that? Do people use sun therapy lamps? I suppose happiness and variety are best friends. Heidi, you've lived all over the world - what is the best kind of place to live - for a general feeling of well being?
The rain we've had has been so gentle. One of the things I miss from growing up was falling asleep to the rain gently falling. I ended up eating lunch in my van today so I could listen to the soothing sound of the falling rain. I just hope everything turns nice a green now.
Okay, the first evening it pitter patted and I was all sentimental. The rain you call soft and gentle was to me - well,... I feel like I'm being submerged in a lake. Once every seven years we get rain that comes down like this and lasts for more than a few minutes - and we all remember where we were the time it rained so hard that worms came up and gutters were filled with water. I'm frightened. Will it never end?
That is a hard question to ask, but I'll tell you the one place I've never wanted to leave whenever I go there: Alberta! lol. I don't know why. But I think if I could pick a place, any place, it would be Southern AB. Even though we lived there when I was so tiny I don't even have memories. I think most people don't understand that, but my overall feeling is that the best place to live is the place where you have roots. I have no roots, and the closest I can come is Canada. Don't ask why, because I don't know. :) As to how I handle the rain, well, this is the first year it's ever been this bad. In the past, the summers were always really nice and plenty of sun. Surround yourself with sunny sorts of things, whether that's your screen saver, or sunny people, or having the windows wide open as often as possible... That's how I manage. And visits to sunny places when I can afford them! lol. Trust me, I'll be back home soon, and I don't think I ever want to leave again.
